Born in Anderson County on December 28, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Preston Cox and Della Mitchell Cox. She was a life long member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and a retired textile worker.
Surviving are: Son, William Tate Henderson, Jr. and wife Dianne of Belton; Sisters, Bertha Thomas and Avis Campbell, both of Honea Path, Doris Bannister of Belton; Grandchildren, Merri Beth Strehmel and husband Greg of Irmo, Jeffrey Henderson and wife Jennifer of Belton; Great Grandchildren, Logan Lay, Drake Henderson and Sophie Strehmel.
She was predeceased by two Brothers, Clyde and Gary Cox and one Sister, Mallie Thomas.
