Samuel Reynolds Barber was the son of George Barber and Elizabeth Reynolds, born in Oglethorpe, GA in 1809. Samuel Reynolds (S R) married Adeline Flake Perry in 1829 in DeKalb, Ga. They lived in Georgia and Alabama before coming to Throckmorton County, Texas in 1850. He spent most of his life in Parker, Palo Pinto and Throckmorton Counties, Texas. There is no known burial site for S R.
After Samuel (S R) died, Ada moved to Kansas to be close to daughters.
