Jean Leon Charest, son of Thomas Charest and Amanda Charest, was a native of Saint Pascal, Kamouraska, Québec, Canada. (The 1914 Drouin records for Saint Pascal are not available.) He immigrated to the United States as a child with his family in Jun 1923 and settled in Lewiston, Androscoggin, Maine. Jean married Alicia Gregoire, daughter of Alphonse Gregoire and Virginie Gagne, on 29 Jun 1935 at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Lewiston. He moved to Florida about 1961. Jean died at age 81 at his summer home in Cundy's Harbor, Harpswell, Cumerland, Maine and was interred in Saint Peter's Cemetery in Lewiston.
