Lucille was born 18 September 1931, Effingham County, Illinois, the daughter of John and Bessie Cook Bricker. She married Ralph W. "Pancake" Pontious, November 18, 1950, Effingham, Illinois.
She was a member of Effingham VFW Auxiliary Post 1769. She was a homemaker and worked at Norge Factory, and Illinois Glove Factory. She enjoyed embroidering, cooking, traveling and above all, spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her four sons: Clarence Pontious; Ralph Pontious; Todd (Arlene) Pontious; and Rey Pontious; two daughters; Jo (Gale) Budde; and Emma (Rick) Schmidt; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bessie Bricker; husband, Ralph "Pancake" Pontious; son, James Pontious; two brothers, Ernest and John Bricker; two sisters, Eva Fulk and Bernadine Gregor; and grandson, Zack Lock.
