Gordon Ashford, an 81-year-old retired Kosciusko, MS; farmer, died March 12, 1987, at his home.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church.
Ashford, a native of Attala County, MS; was a member of the Mt. Vernon church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nellie Mae Ashford; two daughters, Mrs. Christine Johnson and Mrs. Gladys Bell of Muskegon, MI; three sons, MSgt., Roy Ashford, Fort Knox, KY; MSgt., Sam L. Ashford, USAF, Korea; and Grady Ashford of Tacoma, WA; also three sisters, Mrs. Floria Griffin of Los Angeles, CA; Mrs. Annie Ruth Teague, and Mrs. Johnnie Florence Glass of Chicago, IL; four brothers, Earnest Ashford, E. C. Ashford of Kosciusko, MS; Alais Ashford of Detroit, MI; and Phillip Ashford of Kansas City, KS.
Burial in Brooks Cemetery.
Rev. Columbus Barron officiated.
Pallbearers were Roy Ashford, Sam L. Ashford, Grady Ashford, John Triplett, Abraham Triplett, and Dwight Triplett.
