Noted Spanish Singer. A former Republican Soldier during Spanish Civil War, he became one of the most important bolero singers in the 1950s. He is best remembered for his songs "El Mar y tú," "Mirando al Mar," "A Escondidas," "Campanitas de la Aldea," "Mi Casita de Papel," "Malvarrosa," "Que Bonita es Barcelona," and "Sombra de Rebeca." His original name was Luis Sancho Monleón. He was cremated.
