Employed at Portville Dairy Products and was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge.
He is survived by his widow; 2 sons, Howard Brooks and Andrew Brooks and a daughter, Mrs. Hattie Mapes.
Funeral services were held Sunday at two thirty o'clock at the home on Brooklyn St. The Rev. George F. Lohr, pastor of the Presbyterian Church officiated Burial was in Chestnut Hill cemetery. Members of the Portville Lodge, No. 779, I.O.O.F., attended the funeral in a body and the services at the grave were in charge of the Odd fellows, with Earl L. Eldridge and H.C. Holcomb acting.
The pall bearers were Orville Eastman, Harry Fairbank, Clair Ludden, Orson Hatch, Frank Barnes and E.W. Johnson.
Among those present from out of town were Mrs, Andrew brooks, Grand Canyon, Ariz., Glenn Stull, Franklinville and James Milgate, Bolivar.
