Ellen Rushing Infinger, 57, of Marietta, Georgia, entered into eternal rest Fri., March 3, 2006. Mrs. Infinger was born Feb. 28, 1949 in Charleston, S.C., the daughter of General Ben Lewis and Kathleen Harley Rushing of Charleston.

She was a graduate of James Island High School, and Columbia College. She received a Masters in Librarianship degree from the University of South Carolina and was a librarian for the Marietta City Schools.

She was a member of Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church where she was active in the Tom Day Open Door Sunday School Class.

She is survived by husband, Robert L. Infinger, Jr., a daughter, Kathleen Szalay and her husband Joseph Szalay of Miami, Fla., and a son, Robert L. Infinger, III, of Marietta, sisters, Barbara Rushing and Monte McQuillan of Summerville, S.C., a niece, Alicia Smith, and a nephew, Merritt Smith, both of Charleston. .

The family received friends Sun., March 5, from 2-4 o'clock at H.M. Patterson & Son, Canton Hill, 1157 Old Canton Road, Marietta, GA 30068, (770) 977-9485. Her funeral service was Mon., March 6, at 10:30 a.m. at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Diane Parrish officiating. Entombment was private.
