Funeral Services for Cynthia Ross Thacker, 93, of Alto were Tuesday September 13th, at 11:00 A.M. at the Weeping Mary Baptist Church in Alto. Burial at St. Thomas Chapel Cemetery under the direction of O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Directors. Mrs. Thacker died Thursday in Nacogdoches. She was born November 07, 1917 to Felix and Elva Ray Ross in the Faris Farm community near Crockett, TX. She lived most of her life in the Weeping Mary Community and was a Mother of the Church at Weeping Mary Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing and helping in the community and her church. She is preceded in death by her husband Ernest Thacker, Daughter Mildred Thacker, Son Roy D. Thacker, 3 infant children, brothers: Jack Ross, Joseph Ross, Allen Ross. Sisters: Annie Laura Pope, Katherine Blackshire, and Minnie Skinner. Survivors Include: Sons and Daughter-in-law: Daughters and Son-in-law: 21 Grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, numerous great great grandchildren, and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, and relatives. Visitation was Monday from 5 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home in Alto.
