John Lock, Sr. of Smyrna, DE passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 8, 2011 at Pinnacle Health Care in Smyrna. He was 83.
Mr. Lock was born June 23, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late Valenta and Magdalena Sebzda Lock.
Mr. Lock retired after many years as a Tractor Trailer Mechanic. He was also a commercial CDL driver.
He enjoyed playing the guitar at home and keeping himself busy with small projects.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by 11 brothers and one sister. He was the last of 13 children in his family.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ella G. Taylor Lock; a son, John Lock, Jr. of Felton, DE; and a granddaughter, Sara Beth Lock, also of Felton.
A viewing will be held on Friday, June 17, 2011 at 10 am in the Faries Funeral Chapel located at 29 South Main Street, Smyrna, DE. Funeral services will begin at 11 am.
Burial will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park in Dover, DE.
