Mr. Moffett was born in Harrisburg and was the son of the late Charles Robert and Verna Snyder Moffett. He retired in 1995 from Bell Telephone, where he was a supervisor. He had a passion for ancestry, and had traced his family back to the Mayflower. He was a member of the Bell Telephone Pioneers and Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War era, serving with the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Moffett is survived by his wife, Jadwiga, whom would be married 47 years on October 3; one Daughter, Stephanie (David) Ghingher of Booksville, Fla.; one Son, Robert Moffett of Martinsville, Va.; one Grandson; one Granddaughter; one Sister, Annetta Curtis of Harrisburg; one Brother, Marlin Moffett of Harrisburg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 21, at 11 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 6150 Allentown Blvd, Harrisburg. The Very Rev. Edward J. Quinlan, will be the celebrant. Burial with military honors will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
