John B. McFee, 87, a vice-president with the Valley National Bank who retired in 1951, died Sunday in Tempe Community Hospital.
Mr. McFee, 27 E. Alameda, was born in Canada and came here in 1927 from Detroit. He spent 16 years in the bank's mortgage & loan department and was a mortgage officer for Phoenix Title & Trust in 1930. He also was an executive with Home Owners Loan and Commerce Mortgage.
He was a member of the Phoenix Consistory, Arizona Masonic Lodge 2 and the Tempe Third Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Zella; two daughters, Margaret Ann Spangler of Missouri and Barbara Joan Matthews of Tempe; a sister in Canada and 11 grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Third Ward Chapel on Alameda Drive. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today in Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden, Scottsdale. Burial will be in Green Acres Cemetery.
