Obit in the Thursday, February 16,1914 Sturgeon Missouri Leader. Transcribed as written.
--J. W. Schooling Jr. Dead-- The infant son of Ebon Schooling and wife died Tuesday morning, February 24. He had just been permitted to live to bless the hearts of his parents only one short week. The name of J. W. Schooling Jr. had been given him. Besides the parents three sisters survive. The little babe we welcomed as the snowdrop droops and dies, but its delicate face has inspired us to hope and perfumed our life with thoughts of purity. This tiny little blossom of humanity came to bless the home of Mr. Schooling and wife. The sunshine of love could not warm his life nor the affection of parenthood beg-- from drooping. The breath went out like the exhalation of a sweetly fragrant union of the woodlawn, and to his stead was left only a holy and beautiful memory--a memory that will last and sanctify as long as parental existence. The small body was laid to rest at Union, near Sturgeon. May God's purest angels guard his slumbers.
