She married Charles James Stubbs on June 24, 1937 in Hobbs, Md.

Mother of Charles James, Jr., Ann, Lee Kevin, and Dorothy Stubbs.

Mrs. Stubbs was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Frederica, a member of the Frederica Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Spring Creek Lions Club and a member of the Frederica Senior Center.

Mrs. Stubbs loved her church and family dearly and was very active in her community. She will be sadly missed by her extended family, friends, and her community.
Elsie Elizabeth Stubbs, of Frederica, DE, died Monday evening, April 8, 2002, at Silver Lake Center, Dover, DE, she was 85. She was born in Harrington, DE to the late James F. and Alice Sutherlan.

Mrs. Stubbs was a homemaker. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Frederica, a member of the Frederica Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Spring Creek Lions Club and a member of the Frederica Senior Center. Mrs. Stubbs loved her church and family dearly and was very active in her community. She will be sadly missed by her extended family, friends, and her community.

She is survived by her sons Charles J. Stubbs Jr. and wife Kay of Frederica, Lee K. Stubbs and wife Susan of St. Joseph, Missouri, her daughters Ann Baggley and fiancé Gene Showell of Lewes, Dorothy Hopkins and fiancé Randy Porter of Felton, a sister Mary Palmer of Frederica, her grandchildren Wendi Stubbs of Hilton Head, SC, Lee Stubbs of Richmond, Kentucky, Kristen Stubbs of Richmond, Kentucky, Andrew Hopkins of Felton, Timothy Hopkins of Felton, and many nieces and nephews.
