Retired WPAFB Foreman Dies At Home In Fairborn

Harry J. Pritchard, 69, of 51 S. Pleasant St., Fairborn, died at 1 a.m. Sunday at his home after a lingering illness.
A Fairborn resident for 43 years, he was retired from Wright-Patterson AF Base where he was a line foreman in the engineering branch. He had been employed there for 41 years.
Mr. Pritchard, who was born in Cambria, Wis., Dec. 7, 1895 was a charter member and past commander of the Dignam-Whitmore Post 526 American Legion and the Fairborn Methodist Men's Club.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Valeta Pritchard; a son, Harry Pritchard Jr., of Dayton; three daughters, Mrs. Teresa Cline of Kettering, Mrs. Mary Swam of Bellevue, Wash., and Mrs. Harriet Dunne of Erie, Pa.; four sisters, Mrs. Hattie Mills of Miamisburg, Mrs. Winnabelle Gratiot of Madison, Wis., Miss Alyce Pritchard of Madison, Wis. and Mrs. Ethel Pettey of Dells, Wis., and 12 grandchildren.
Rev. Robert Massey will conduct services Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at th Burcham Funeral Home, 119 E. Main St., Fairborn, where friends may call until service time Tuesday. An everlasting service will be conducted by Dignam-Whitmore Post tonight at 7 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery.
