Son of Abel, Jr. and Elisabeth Huse.

Elisabeth's parents were Enoch and Elizabeth (Worth) Little, also of Newbury.
Elisabeth died young, three years after her son, Enoch, was born.

Enoch's father, Abel Huse, remarried in 1738, to Hannah Farley Emerson. The family then moved to Ipswich, Massachusetts.

Town histories indicate that "Abel Huse was a cooper. He left no will and appears to have died insolvent. Administration was granted to his son Enoch on May 28, 1770."

Behold, all you that gazing stand,
To view the works of death's cold hand:
For death's a debt to nature due,
Which we have paid and so must you;
Our voice to you is from the grave,
To call on Christ your souls to save.
