ALMA CHRISTIAN MCKIM LAWSON:
Alma Christian McKim Lawson, 90, of Holts Summit, died Thursday, September 13, 2001, at Capital Regional Medical Center in Jefferson City.
She was born September 8, 1911, in New Bloomfield, to the late James W. and Lizzie Dickson Sanders. She married Ira McKim on September 29, 1929. He preceded her in death on September 14, 1975. She later married S.T. Lawson. He survives at New Bloomfield.
Other survivors include one son, Bill C. McKim of Jefferson City, two granddaughters, Cheryl Toebben of Jefferson City and Kassie Siebert of Russellville and three great-granddaughters, three step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.
Mrs. Lawson was graduated from New Bloomfield School and taught elementary school for several days. She belonged to the Slusher Club, XYZ Club and the Twilight Zone. She helped start the first 4-H Club in New Bloomfield in 1949 and served as their leader. She was a 75-year-plus member of the United Methodist Church of New Bloomfield.
Services are at 2:00pm today at the Debo Funeral Home in Holts Summit with Reverend Brad Schmidt and Reverend Rick Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in the Callaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation was Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial services are suggested to the United Methodist Church of New Bloomfield.
