William Basil Ross, 81, of Huntington, WV, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2010, in the Huntington Veterans Administration Medical Center. He was born November 27, 1929 in East Lynn, WV a son of Rev. Harvey and Della Belcher Ross.

Four sisters, Violetta, Magdeline, Letha, and June, and one brother Ellis Ross preceded him in death.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War; worked for Structures; and attended Open Door Baptist Church of Huntington.

Survivors include;
his wife, Lenora Adkins Ross;
one son, William Joseph Ross of Huntington;
one grandson, William Christopher Ross of Proctorville, OH;
one granddaughter, Joni Leigh Ross of Kenova, WV;
four great grandchildren;
three sisters, Evelyn Asbury of Lavalette, WV, and Carma Pinson and Bernice Mitchell, both of Huntington;
a special sister-in-law, Rena Fay Jones of South Point, OH.

Funeral service was at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Jerry Chapman officiating. Burial in Spring Valley Memory Gardens, Huntington.
