Mr. Andersen Dead at 81 Longtime Sunnyside Farm Resident Dies; Funeral Held in Kennard Andrew D. Andersen, 81, long a resident of the Sunnyside neighborhood near Kennard, died last Thursday night at Hillcrest Home in Plattsmouth, where he had been a resident the past four years.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Kennard Methodist Church, the Rev. Henry Kleinert of Arlington officiating. Burial, with arrangements by the Bendorf Funeral Home of Blair, followed in Kennard Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Henry Miller, Clyde Rosenbaum, Chris Jahnel, Robbie Anderson, Elmer Wright and Hans Naeve.

Mr. Andersen was born in Denmark Sept. 16, 1869, and came to American as a boy 11 years of age. He settled in the Sunnyside district and farmed there many years.

He and Rose McBride were married in 1896. Her death occurred in 1935. Also preceding Mr. Andersen in death was a daughter, Edna.

Surviving Mr. Andersen are three daughters, Mrs. Paul Petersen (Blanche) of LaMesa, Calif., Mrs. Elmer Andreasen (Ethel) and Mrs. Alfred Nielsen (Mary), both of Kennard. There are 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Andrew D. Andersen Rites Sunday

Andrew D. Andersen, 81 years, 10 months and 17 days old died in Plattsmouth Thursday night. He had lived in a home for the aged for the past four years there.

Deceased was born in Denmark and came with his parents to this county when but a small boy. He received his early education in the Sunnyside school where the family resided.

In the nineties he was married to Miss Rosa McBride who passed away several years ago. Of the family three daughters survive, Mrs. Paul Petersen (Blanche) of La Mesa, California; Mrs. Elmer Andreasen (Ethel) of Kennard; Mrs. Alfred Nielsen (Mary) of Kennard.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Kennard Methodist Church with Rev. Henry Kleinert of Arlington officiating and interment was made in the Kennard cemetery under the supervision of the Bendorf Funeral Home.

The pallbearers who carried the body to its last resting place were Henry Miller, Clyde Rosenbaum, Chris Jahnel, Robbie Andersen, Elmer Wright and Hans Naeve, all acquaintances of a life time.
