WASHINGTON, Ga. –Funeral services for John D. Arnold, 52, of Washington, who died Tuesday, will be held at 11 a.m. today at Bethesda Methodist Church in Oglethorpe County with the Rev. Tommy Ghann officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
A native of Oglethorpe County, he was a veteran of World War II and had lived in Washington years.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ethel Hubbard Arnold, son, Richard Arnold, Washington; three daughters, Miss Rachel Arnold, Miss Nellie Arnold, and Miss Jo Ann Arnold, all of Washington; two brothers, Tony Arnold and Milton Arnold, both of Rayle, Ga., two sisters, Mrs. Sue Mauldin, Crawford, Ga., and Mrs. Grace Dwyer, Jacksonville Beach, Fla.
Pallbearers will be Clem Thurmond, Fulton House, Van Allen Bufford, Bobby Arnold, Charlie Arnold and Bobby Truitt.
Friends may call at Hopkins Funeral home in Washington until 10 a.m. then at the church
