82-Year Old Meeme Resident Dies Monday
The death of Michael Wagner, aged 82 years, one of the oldest pioneers of Meeme, occurred on Monday at 10 p.m., at the homestead farm of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William Ramminger in the town of Meeme. The deceased was born in Germany in March, 1845, and was brought to this country with his parents at the age of two years. The family lived in Schwarzwald for a number of years and then in Meeme. Mr. Wagner was united in marriage to Agnes Klein fifty-three years ago. Since the death of his wife some thirty years ago the deceased has been making his home with his daughter. The survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Jacob Ramminger of Schleswig, Mrs. William Ramminger of Meeme, Mrs. Gustave Ninmer of School Hill, and Mrs. Joseph Knop of Kiel; two sons, Joseph Wagner of Eaton and Michael of California; and one brother, Conrad Wagner of Plymouth. Also 20 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.The Rev. Fr. Emerden of St. Nazianz will conduct the funeral services which will be held Thursday at 10 a.m., at the Holy Trinity church in School Hill with burial in the adjoining cemetery. - October 13, 1927
