Darlene Moss, 65, of Hospers, died Saturday, September 14, 1996, in the Orange City Hospital.

Services were held on Tuesday, September 17, 1996 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Reformed Church in Hospers with the Rev. Robert VandeVord officiating. Burial was held at the Hospers Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. under the direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home of Hospers.

Mrs. Moss was born August 27, 1931 on a farm near Sioux Center, Iowa. She was the daughter of Ben and Jeanette (Van Roekel) Kraayenbrink. She was a graduate of Sioux Center High School.

On February 8, 1950 she married Peter Moss at Sioux Center. They farmed in the Hospers vicinity until they retired in 1991 and moved into Hospers in 1992.

Darlene was an active member of the First Reformed Church of Hospers, in the Reformed Church Women's Ministries, and a spiritual leader in community prayer groups.
