Second Brother Arrives in Africa
Word has just been received that Pvt. Alfred J. De George has arrived safely in North Africa. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas De George of Little Britain, and is one of three brothers in service. He volunteered three years ago with the 156th Field Artillery and was stationed in Fort Dix for more than a year. He was then transferred to Louisiana for several months, and sent on the Fort Lewis, Wash., and transferred to the Signal Corps.
A brother, Pvt. Joseph De George is already in Africa where he participated in the invasion of Sicily. His family has learned that he has been removed from his former outfit and returned to Africa, but that he is well. Neither brother knows that the other is in Africa. The third son, Corp. Fred De George is serving with the Air Corps at Greenville, S. C.
