JOHN F. BROWDER
LOUDON, Tenn., March 8 - The funeral services of John F. Browder were conducted from the home this morning at 11 o'clock by the Rev. Cartwright, of Lenoir City. Interment was in the Gallaher burying ground.
Mr. Browder's death occurred at his home in Roane county, near Wheat, after a long illness, at the age of 75 years. He was born in Loudon county, near Lenoir City, where his son, J. R. Browder, now lives. Deceased was a confederate soldier during the civil war, having been wounded at Barbersville, KY. He was one of Roane county's most highly esteemed and prominent citizens. The Browder and Gallaher families are widely connected throughout East Tennessee, his wife being Miss Sallie Gallaher before her marriage. Mr. Browder is survived by his wife and three children, J. R. Browder, Mrs Maude Douthit, of Lenoir City and William Browder, of Wheat. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Will T. Gallaher, of Wheat. He was a member of the Methodist church and took a great interest in church work.
