On 16 May 2015 a ceremony was held at 11:00 am in honor of the Confederate veteran, Sergeant James King. His final burial place had been found and a gravestone obtained from the Veterans Administration. The Sons of Confederate Veterans provided honors and fired a volley in honor of the deceased. One of his great-great granddaughters and her daughter were in attendance.
