Minerva Knight Sadler was the daughter of Susan and Aber Dodson who came to Illinois when she was quite young. She attended the Ellis School in Anna, Illinois. On July 4th, 1878 she married Frank Knight and together they had seven children: Ike; John (b.1886), Della (b.1881); Sammy; Nellie; Mae (b.1890) and Antney. Frank Dodson’s premature passing left her a widow and Minerva remarried to Lawrence “Onie” Sadler August 8th, 1902 and had two more children an infant who died and a twin Irvin Sadler.
