Born in Johnsburg, he was the son of George and Martha (Huff) Oeffliing. On Sept 5, 1952, he married Sarah (Cook). Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Pam Sroka; three sons, David, Doug and Dwayne; two sisters, Doris Schabow and Bonnie Kuechey; three brothers, Alger, James and Frank Oeffling. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Arlene Fowler.
