James Donald Freeland, 79, of Sabetha, Kansas, formerly of Muscotah, Kansas, passed away on February 3, 2008, at the Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha, Kansas. He was born on July 23, 1928, in Horton, Kansas the son of James Perry & Ethel Bartley Freeland. James worked on the family farm. He was a member of the Horton United Methodist Church and a former member of the Brush Creek 4-H Club. Survivors include his sister, Mary & husband Dale Bodenhausen of Muscotah, Kansas and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas. Burial was in the Horton Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the United Methodist Church or the Apostolic Christian Home both in care of the mortuary.
