DECATUR - Marion Bergandine, 87, McAllen, Texas, formerly of Decatur, died 1 a.m. Tuesday (April 14, 1998) in the Comfort House, McAllen.
Memorial services were held in the First Nazarene Church, McAllen. Memorials: First Nazarene Church. Memorial services will be at a later date in Foursquare Gospel Church with burial in Graceland Cemetary.
Mr. Bergandine was born in Decatur on Jan. 25, 1911, the son of Jacob & Winona Hart Bergandine. He retired from A. E. Staley Mfg. Co. after 44 years of service & was a member of Foursquare Gospel Church. He married Olive McGullion on Dec. 31, 1932.
Surviving are his wife; sons, Richard Bergandine of Dundee; Larry Bergandine of Necedah, Wis.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
He was precedecd in death by his parents, two brothers & one sister.
