George Fox and wife brought the body of Robert Carter here from Fort Morgan, Colorado last Wednesday, he having died suddenly at George's home of a hemorrhage incident of Tuberculosis on Monday of last week. The funeral was held at the T.M. Carter home at 10 o'clock Friday morning, Rev. C. M. Foreman officiating. The services at the cemetery were conducted by the Masonic Lodge of which he was a member.
Robert Carter was born on the old Nathan Carter farm located just south of the present city limits on the Kennard road, January 6, 1886 and therefore was past 49 years of age. He was never married. He leaves one brother, George, who is conductor on the passenger train between Omaha and Sioux City, also four sisters, Mrs. Ellen Foss of Alliance, Nebraska, Mrs. Harry Yeoman and Mrs. Will Campbell of Helena, Montana and Mrs. Will Hinkle of Omaha.
