Patricia Davis

Patricia Peachy Davis, 66, of West Jefferson, formerly of Mt. Sterling, died Monday, Aug. 15, 2011, in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.

She was born Nov. 11, 1944, in Augusta, Indiana, the daughter of the late Thomas and Naomi (Caldwell) Darst.

Peachy has been a lifetime resident of Madison County.

She faithfully supported and contributed to Veterans of Foreign Wars, Salvation Army, Feeding the Hungry Missions, and Boys Town. In 2007 she received a letter of recognition for having made the most contributions in 30 years, Hero of the Year.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, William Davis; daughter, Lisa Davis of West Jefferson; son, Keith and wife Sandy Davis of London; four grandchildren, Nathaniel Davis, Kyle Sparks, Aaron Sparks, Olivia Davis; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Carter, Serenity, Owen, Cole, and Audrey; brothers, Russell Darst of Branson, Missouri, Billy Darst of Mt. Sterling; sisters, Barbara Sowards of Greenfield, Carol Sue Collins and Bonnie Fields, both of Washington Court House.

A Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, 2011, at the Porter-Tidd Funeral Home, 335 W. Main St., Mt. Sterling. The interment will follow in Pleasant Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at noon until time of service.
