Born in Cleveland on Aug. 30, 1923, Harrison was the only son of Lesley and Lillian (née Gill) Tripp. After living in Elyria and Rochester, Harrison settled in Wellington in 1999.
He was employed by C.E. Ward Co. in New London and Cresco Co. in Ashland. Harrison retired from Norwalk Furniture. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Wellington and Rochester Baptist Church.
Harrison enjoyed bowling, operating any type of machinery and mowing his lawn.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Marjorie (née Lee); children, Bill (Donna) Tripp of Goshen, Ind., Diana (Chris) Sloan of Lorain, Warren (Helen) Tripp of Litchfield and Gene Tripp of Wellington; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Friends and family will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington. Funeral services will take place 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Wellington, 125 Grand Ave., with the Rev. Thomas Alexander officiating.
