Bob Myers of Rutledge Is Dead.
Bob Myers of Rutledge, a native of that community, died early Wednesday morning of last week, March 16, 1955, at the age of 31 years at his home after an illness of several months. He underwent surgery at the Veterans Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa, last summer. Funeral services were at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Rutledge Methodist Church by the Rev. Arthur Huff of Shelbina. Burial was in Pauline Cemetery. Mr. Myers is survived by his wife; two daughters, Carol Ann and Donna Jo of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Myers of Rutledge; a sister, Mrs. Leo Drake, Jr., of Rutledge, ands three brothers, William Myers of Pasadena, Calif., Gordon Myers of Rock Island, Ill., and Jack Myers of Rutledge. Robert Don Myers, youngest son of Bert and Mayme Gordon Myers, was born Dec. 23, 1923. He married to Gladys McCabe and the daughters mentioned as surviving were born to them.
