Ida Turner Walton, 79, Bloomington, died at 6:48 p.m. Wednesday (May 5, 2010) at her residence.

She was born Feb. 15, 1931, at Bloomington, daughter of Morris L. and Thelma Fern Smith Bernstein.

She married Bobby Turner, who preceded her in death.

She later married Joseph D. Walton on Sept. 2, 1977, at Bloomington. Joe survives.

Also surviving are her children, Terri Ann Turner, Spokane, Wash., and Robert (Chris) Turner, Bloomington; stepdaughter, Leslie (Duane) Nolan, East Moline; stepsons, Robert (Cindy) Walton, Milledgeville, Ga., and Joel (Kerri) Walton, St. Petersburg, Fla.; brothers, Lonnie (Chris) Bernstein, Bloomington; Irving (Phyllis) Bernstein, Normal; and Wilbur (Diana) Bernstein, Nokomis, Fla.; a sister, Rosalie Robitske, Bloomington; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her patents and a son, Lee Turner.

Ida was a great caregiver and was dearly loved by her family. Her grandchildren were the love of her life.
