Richard worked for the Chicago and NW Railroad in Huron and when he was promoted to foreman the family moved to Mankato, MN.
His favorite things were hunting, fishing, US coin collecting, and translating German to the family while watching the TV show "Combat".
Richard William Bonnes died at Mankato, MN of a heart attack on March 2, 1974. He was survived by all his family except daughter Cheryl Ellen.
