Mr. Geurts, who was born in the Netherlands, moved to the United States when he was quite young. He farmed in the Sully area for most of his life, but has been retired for the pass several years.
On January 26, 1916, he was married to Henrietta Louise Kruseman. To the couple were born four children.
He is survived by his wife: three sons, Harold, Lester and Melvin all of Lynnville; a daughter, Mrs. Floyd (Luella) Vander Wilt of Sully: 13 Grandchildren, six great grandchildren; two brothers, John and Flor: and a sister, Mrs. Ed ( Kathleen) Vos of Pella.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Funeral serivices for Mr. Geurts are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the First Reformed Church in Sully, with the Rev. Wayne Tripp and the Rev. Paul Baker officiating.
Buriel will be in the Sully Cemetery. Harden Funeral Home of New Sharon is in charge of arrangements.
