Ida Lee Thompson, daughter of the late Mr. Charlie Scott and Mrs. Hattie Mae Cantrell Scott, was born June 9, 1899 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life October 7, 1989 in the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.
She was 90 years, 4 months and 2 days of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Brush Creek Baptist Church at the time of her death.
She united in marriage to Mr. Herbert Thompson in August of 1919, who preceded her in death on January 12, 1967. To this union were born two sons and one daughter. Surviving are Mr. Gilbert and Denzol Thompson both of Buffalo, Kentucky. Mrs. Alpha Walker preceded her mother in death on December 2, 1985.
She is survived by one sister Miss Marie Scott of Glasgow; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Lee Thompson were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, October 9, 1989 in the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Buffalo Cemetery. Rev. Mick Brown officiated.
Pallbearers were Todd Thompson, Mike Thompson, Terry Thompson, Roger Scott, James Scott and Jerry Scott.
