Bruce Albert Rudolph, age 69, passed away quietly on Wednesday, September 14, 2011, at his home in Elkton, MD. Bruce was born in 1942 at the Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital in Darby, PA to the late Harry Rudolph and Frances (Paynter) Rudolph of Collingdale, PA.
He was a graduate of Collingdale High School. Bruce worked as an independent salesman most of his life. He was a loving husband and devoted father and is survived by his wife of 47 years, Margaret (Buchanan) Rudolph; son, Bryan A. Rudolph of Coatesville, PA; daughter, April L. Van Luven and her husband, Mark of Elkton, MD; daughter, Rebekah K. Campbell and her husband, Richard of Elkton, MD; and son, James H.W. Rudolph and his wife, Jennifer of Collingdale, PA. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Bryanna Ashley Rudolph, Kyle James Rudolph, Melanie Margaret Van Luven and Alexander James Van Luven; his brother, James Rudolph of Folsom, PA; and many brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews and good friends.
Bruce was preceded in death by James's wife, Carol Rudolph.
A celebration of Bruce's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, September 26, 2011 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 E. Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with a visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. There will be a private burial at Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Broomall, PA for family and close friends at a later date.
