Son of Harry & Winnie (Spangler) Brittenburg and husband of Marie (Gross) Rau; children Barbara, Janet, Nancy and Edward. He was a meat smoker and the former Wilson & Co. in Allentown for 37 years until the company closed in 1970. He then worked at Branch Motor Express for 5 years until retiring. For 18 years he also drove a school bus for St. Paul's Catholic Church.
