LAWSONVILLE ~ Mr. Clyde Michael Priddy, 57, died Wednesday morning, June 15, 2005, at his residence. He was born March 12, 1948, in Patrick County, Va., to David Clyde and Mary Kallam Priddy. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Quail Unlimited Club and a member of the Republican Mens Club. He was employed by the Stokes County school system, where he served as a teacher. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Andrew Priddy Sr. Also preceding him in death was his stepfather, Ernest C. Dark. He is survived by his mother, Mary Jean Kallam Dark, of Pfafftown; his father and stepmother, David Clyde and Clara Priddy, of Danbury; a sister, Charlotte P. Betts (Carl), of Kenly; a half-sister, Angela Hicks (Jeff), of King; and eight nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 18, at Burroughs Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Terry Ragsdale officiating. Burial will follow in Peters Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Lawsonville. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening, June 17, at Burroughs Funeral Home.
