F.Ray Bechill, 49, of Longview, died of natural causes Aug. 7, 1994, in Tacoma. He was born Oct. 11, 1944, in Portland, and lived in the local area most of his life with the exception of his time served with the Air Force as an air policeman from 1963 to 1967. Mr. Bechill was a 1962 graduate of Mark Morris High School and attended Lower Columbia Junior College. He had sold automobiles for Clary Chevrolet, had worked at Halleck's Floor Covering, and owned or co-owned and operated Cowlitz Floor Covering, U-Neak Motors, Columbia Funeral Service, and U-Neak Toys. He was preceded in death by his brother, Pat Bechill in 1968; his father, William Bechill in 1981; and by his mother, Malena Bechill in 1986. Survivors include his companion, Kim Hagemann, and her daughter, Erica "Hollie" King, both at home; two sisters, Kay Halverson of Longview, and Janet Hill of Toledo; and many close friends. A Mausoleum commital service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Cowlitz View Memorial Gardens in Kelso with the Rev. John A. Steppart officiating. Weather permitting, all of his friends with street rods are welcome to meet at Columbia Funeral Service at 2:15 p.m. Thursday.
