MRS. IDA SMALL FUNERAL RITES ARE CONDUCTED
Funeral services were conducted yesterday in the chapel of St. James' Episcopal church for Mrs. Ida Irwin Small, who died Wednesday night in Passavant hospital. Mrs. Small was the wife of Dr. Arthur Atwell Small, a widely known physician and surgeon.
Mrs. Small had been ill for several months. She was the daughter of the late Brig. Gen. B. J. D. Irwin, the first American soldier to win the congressional medal of honor, and a sister of the late Mrs. Amy McCormick, wife of Col. Robert R. McCormick, editor and publisher of THE TRIBUNE. The late Maj. Gen. George LeRoy Irwin was a brother.
Mrs. Small was active in the Army Relief society. With her husband she lived at 32 East Division street. He survives with two nephews and a niece. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.
