Robert J Plumstead was born in a small villiage in Brant Co, Ontario, Canada. He was the s/o James and Susan Plumstead who migrated from England in the early 1850s. He came to the United States in 1890. He married Carrie Clemens in Oklahoma. She had several pregnancies but only one child survived, my Grandfather Robert Clemens Plumstead. He was 81 years old when he passed away.

The grave is located at curb 685, space 692, lot 41, sec. A1. There are no marked graves in this area.

PLUMSTEAD—Robert J. Plumstead was a
faithful veteran among our medical workers.
He and his wife, Carrie Clemens, took the
nurses' training course at Battle Creek, where
he was placed in charge of the surgical ward
upon completion of his training. Oklahoma
City was the next field of their labors, then
they spent about four years at the Boulder
Colorado Sanitarium. Brother Plumstead
spent about six years as a worker in he
Glendale Sanitarium before ill health forced
his retirement. He now rests from his labors.
