Verla is buried with her husband in Silverbrook Cemetery.
George served as a Firefighter with the Cranston Heights Fire Company Station 14 in Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware.
George was killed fighting a house fire in the neighborhood of Brookland Terrace.
