Gerald Felton Puffer, 72, 1446 Lakeside Dr., died this morning in a local hospital following a short illness.
He was born Feb. 24, 1899 in Burlington.
He attended the Military Academy at West Point and the University of Kansas. He was a partner of the Scott-Puffer-Wahle Chevrolet agency here for many years before his retirement in 1946 due to ill health.
He was a member of Grace Cathedral, Phi Delta fraternity and Capitol Post No. 1, American Legion. He was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Marjora Puffer of the home; 2 daughters, Mrs. Jean Hogan, Topeka, and Mrs. Marilyn Hungerford, Topeka, and 4 grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery.
