She was born Dec. 28, 1969, in Greenville to Johnny Powell Sr. and Rhonda Shipp Powell Duckett. She was of the Baptist faith, and she managed apartments.
Angela loved her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with and playing with her grandchildren. She lovingly took care of her mother during the last few years of her life.
Angie is survived by a son, Asa Gunner Woodland of Campbell; daughter Whitley Wood; parents, Johnny Powell Sr. of Cumby and Rhonda Duckett of Celeste; brothers Johnny Powell Jr. of Celeste; a stepbrother, Chris Adair of Sulphur Springs; stepsister Jackie "Sissy" Ball of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren Leah and Sadie Cumpian and her loving lifelong friends, Heidi Himes and Greg Selement.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Higher Trails Cowboy Church with Randy Bird officiating. Interment will follow at Merit Cemetery.
A visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Lynch Funeral Service in Greenville.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Bolt, Dustin Smith, Steven Cumpian, Steve Miles, Buck McDonald and Kenny Hartline. Honorary pallbearer will be Brandon Mitchell.
