Bernice Morgan
Mrs. Bernice MORGAN, 75, Argos, died at 11 a.m. Monday in the Parkview hospital in Plymouth where she had been a patient two weeks.
She was born Oct. 21, 1899 at Grafton, Ill. to Emmett and Mary WILT [SLAYTON]. Her marriage was in May, 1928 at Florida to Carol O. MORGAN. He died Jan. 20, 1954. Mrs. Morgan owned and operated the Argos Telephone company until 1955. She also assisted her husband in the operation of Morgan Photographic Studios. In 1955, she moved to Plymouth where she was emplohyed as a legal secretary. She retired in 1969 and moved to Argos.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Catherine SLAYTON, Springfield, Ill.; one brother, Ernest SLAYTON, Grafton, Ill.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Grossman funeral home in Argos. The Rev. Robert HANSEN will officiate. Burial will be in the Argos Maple Grove cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
