Mary Jane Baruth, 86, a resident of St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc, died early Sunday morning Jan. 21, 2007 at St. Mary's Nursing Home, Manitowoc.
Mary Jane was born on Jan. 11, 1921 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Joseph and Marie (Mazanet) Cybert. Mary Jane attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1938. On Jan. 19, 1943 Mary Jane married Arthur G. Baruth at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The couple just celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. Mary Jane was an avid golfer at Lincoln Fields and Fox Hills. She enjoyed swimming at the YMCA and her card game of bridge. Mary Jane was a volunteer at many different organizations including the American Red Cross, and the American Cancer Society. She was a member of the YMCA and a former member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and presently a member of St. Francis of Assisi.

Mary Jane also was preceded in death by numerous uncles, aunts and other relatives.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 11 a.m. until the time of Mass at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand. Officiating at the Memorial Mass will be the Rev. Msgr. Jim Vanden Hogen with burial of the cremated remains at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
