Graveside services for Mr. Clarence William Powers Jur, of 47 Terracedale Court, Griffin, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Cemetery in Barnesville, The Rev. Grafton Pressley will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Cancer Fund or the American Heart Association.
Mr. Power dies Sunday at AMI Griffin-Spalding Hospital, He was a retired civil service employee in the accounting department stationed at Ft. McPherson upon his retirement. A native of Midville and son of the late Clarence William Powers Sr., and the late Aurie Sandeford Powers, he made his home in Griffin seven years ago. Mr. Powers was a member of the First United Methodist Church; a member of Griffin Lodge 1503 Loyal Order of Moose; a member of Griffin Lodge 1307 Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
Survivors include his wife, Julia Quinn Powers, Griffin; two daughters, Mrs Mary Elizabeth Hunter, Griffin, Mrs. Robert Powers Byce, Stone Mountain; a son, C William Powers III, Griffin; and seven grandchildren.
Haisten Funeral Home of Griffin will handle the arrangements.
