Doris J. "Dorry" Beaman, 81 of Decatur, passed away at 3:20 A.M. Sunday, May 7, 2006 in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur. Dorry was born on August 6, 1924 in Decatur a daughter of Earl and Myrtle Gordy. She married Robert T. Beaman Sr. in March of 1967. He preceded her in death on January 14 1999. She and her husband owned and operated the Winery for over 31 years. She was a member of the Southside Country Club. Dorry volunteered at St. Mary's Hospital Auxiliary for over 20 years. Surviving are her daughter- Candace and husband Richard Stone of Springfield, son- Gregory Games of Decatur, brother- Maurice Gordy of California, sister- Norma Clayton of Montana, and several nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
